I am a historian, freelance transcriber and award-winning author. 

A born and raised Canadian, I am currently completing my PhD with Birkbeck, University of London researching Georgian women's manuscript writing as a tool to illustrate their intellectual engagement.

I study British history and am enthusiastic about women's history. I am dedicated to using my career to uncover the lives of history's women and share them with the world. I have always had a ineffable connection and passion for London and I spend as much time as I can there, surrounded by its unique magic.

I published my first book Women Who Kill: A History of Britain's Most Dangerous Women in 2024 and it won the Reader's Choice Award at the 2025 True Crime Awards. My freelance transcribing business launched in August 2026 after I developed a passion and skill for it while doing research for my PhD. I have written articles for several independent history magazines and my most recent, for the online database AM Digital.

My interest lies in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries with a special inclination towards the histories of medicine, science, crime, knowledge, books and manuscript writing; particularly in relation to women.

When not doing my history work, exploring the UK and other destinations or reading my ever expanding TBR, I enjoy baking, playing the guitar and singing, and spending time with my family and friends.
